"You've got a bit of time before the deadline, so do try to get it cancelled via McDs first. I'd complain to both the organ grinder and the monkey simultaneously.
Paradoxically, failure by them to cancel will enable you and your family to adopt a much healthier lifestyle by banning any further visits to their outlets ..., and let them know that you will be doing so, because one of their burger and chips runs the risk of having a £100 surcharge added to it! . Only as businesses lose business as a result of their customers' harassment at the hands of their agents, will the penny (no longer) drop!
Edit: Yes I think I shall write to their main head office as you say as this can only help, thank you.
Edit: Thank you Keith!0 -
Only email the first appeal to MET if they allow it , check the NTK , don't assume
Most companies expect a respondent to use their website to appeal0 -
Send a polite email to McDonald’s CEO Mr Paul Pomroy asking that he cancels.
This has worked previously.

Apologies I have done, but perhaps it is my eyesight as I am not familiar with the abbreviation NTK.
I am in the process of using the template and the very kind suggested paragraphs from Umkomaas this afternoon.0 -
Acronyms are contained within post # 5 of the NEWBIE sticky, it maybe you didn't scroll down far enough. NTK = Notice to Keeper.0

Thanks very much for this.
Complaints to both Paul and the formal channel at Mcdonald's sent. Letter being sent tomorrow first class, with certificate of posting being obtained. I shall appraise you splendid helpful folk of the outcome as and when it occurs.
Thanks again all.0 -
Oh well McDonalds customer service aren't interested, by email and phone. Will try the restaurant later on today.
Edit: However, the email to Paul has got a response! They are forwarding my complaint along to the land owner. So, not all is lost just yet.0 -
But if the CEO did not reply, then email them back and ask why he is not concerned about his customers enough to at least ensure a Manager handles the complaint sent to him. Customer Services can't randomly reply and shut you up - be persistent.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
