Massive deficit to repay

We recently got an email from utility warehouse saying we were £3000 in debt to them after 12 months. We gave them an opening reading and another after about 3 months and then another at 12 months. So they had three readings in 12 months. I realise I should have given another around 9 months in. They are now asking for…

Gas consumption might be a bit higher now, as the boiler will have to heat the water, but it's going to cost so much less than keeping the water on the boil with an immersion.

I'm sure you can get the electricity consumption a little lower, what's still eating the juice?
