Anyone else notice how smug and annoying he has become since he lost all that weight now that he is high profile for the first time in his life. Good for him, but I cannot help think that by dropping all that weight he thinks he has uncovered a long lost Brad Pitt who was there all the time under all that flab.

Yep, you are right, he stuck the knife in with those high profile innocent politicians who must have been under unbearable strain, totally unforgivable.
Not sure about how much politician sticking he indulged in, but IMO he was too vocal in support of a person who had not been proven anything close to a reliable witness

Nothing sinister. Just holds views that aren't majority ones. Nor would help reconcile the country. Simply divide it further.

That could be used to describe anyone in politics. What Boris is doing is going to cause a massive divide in the country.

People who support him aren't worried about divides, they are just worried about getting what they want at any cost.

Corbyn is a complete joke, his life has been based around this romantic vision of himself as supporting the underdog which are usually nasty bits of work, IRA and West bank nutters. He reminds me of those American IRA supporters who base their beliefs on some romantic Hollywood film they once watched.
I agree this country is screaming for some centre left politics that should have come with Blair, but sadly died with John Smith a few years earlier, in many ways I blame Blair for Corbyn. Boris and the whole political system is broken, sadly Cobyn is not the answer. What the country is screaming for is the average Mr Joe Crow who works everyday and takes care of his /her own family being nurtured and rewarded, I cannot help feel that Corbyn sees UK victims as single non working mothers with several kids or large immigrant families who need bigger houses and aid.

Considering there is nothing either in Labour policy or in Mr Corbyn's own statements confirming this, I suggest that you opinions have more to do with your own prejudice than a basis in fact.

Johnson doesn't want or expect to leave the EU on the 31st. Most governments are formed on 35% of the electorate, nothing like enough to solve the Brexit issue, but - he hopes, enough to get him in power with a majority for extreme right wing deregulation.

The Tory Party is just a vehicle for the hard Right now, it's up to the other parties to oppose this and not allow Johnson to frame the debate as being about Brexit. A Tory majority government would be the worst thing to happen to this country since the 70s.

It's the Tories that have destroyed the UK's chances of an orderly Brexit. I can't stress that enough.

Stress it as much as you like.
It still won't make it true.

It is quite obviously the fault of MP's that are anti-Brexit; these are responsible not only for scuppering any possibility of a reasonable deal with their constant removal of any bargaining positions the country held but for their absolute refusal to enact the wishes of their electorate.

It's the ERG that prevented a deal when they forced their red lines onto Theresa May because the ERG never wanted a deal.

We never had a bargaining position. Parliament took away the possibility of trying to bully the EU with threats, because it's not a really unsuccessful strategy.

The wishes of the electorate when? Now?

    .

Corbyn was elected following a few idealistic MPs feeling the post Milliband leadership contest ought to include a left wing candidate.

Blair was not even in Parliament at the time
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

Why is it up to Remain supporting MPs to back Brexit?

If Brexit supporting MPs had voted for May's WA, it would already have happened, but the ERG and DUP (who I think we can all agree are Brexit supporters) voted against it as they wanted a different fantasy for their Brexit deal.

Because they voted to hold referendum, they voted to trigger article 50 and many of them represent leave voting constituencies. The time to prevent us leaving EU was in 2015.

People change their mind when they realize the consequences. You can't expect people to predict the future.

David Davies is quite clear on the matter, you have to be able to change your mind.
