I'm still looking around for the cheapest deal but where does it normally say in CEC?heatherw_01 wrote: »What is the name of the plan?0 -
Forget what the CEC says, just find the tariff you want and look at the company's Ts &Cs; they are what counts, not the CEC's summary. Search online if necessary.0

On Ukpower/uUswitch the cheapest Npower tariff is the " Fixed Energy September 2020 "
It states on plan info , "you agree to be contacted by Npower and where eligible have smart meters installed within 4 months .Failure to comply means Npower will offer a different tariff ".
on the Cheap Energy Club there is nowhere stated that it is a smart meter installation tariff.Neither is it clearly stated in the T and C s.
Not very good from CEC to advertise this tariff without making it known it is a smart meter tariff when other comp sites manage to do it
In the Citizens Advice comp site it is harder to find , in "additional info " where it also states it is a smart meter installation tariff.
Pretty poor rates anyway so I personally would nt accept this tariff when Symbio Energy and Zog Energy easily beat their inflated tariffs0 -
Plus even if you Must have a smart meter for one supplier, the odds of it not working with/for whomever you switch to in another years time are high, but you can tick the smart meter box.
Do not let these intrusive little gadgets dictate who you get your energy from Next Year...0 -
Hello Lither, some of our newer tariffs do require smart meters to be installed within 4 months of signing up to the new tariff. If you would like some help choosing a tariff, please contact us using the contact information on our homepage. Thanks
