I ordered something from Amazon last Christmas and they said it had been delivered but we never received it. My hubby emailed them and they sent a replacement, which we did receive. The other one never showed up

    So keep hassling them
  • Grhhh to Amazon

I never had problems until October, I ordered something which said would be delivered by 23rd and it came on the 2nd, I was annoyed!! I emailed them several times and they sent out another order which I recieved the day after I recieved the first one .

So annoyed , even more so now it means I have to send the 'extra one ' back, AND I just can't be bothered till after Christmas . I'm not going to go out of my way to the post office to return it till the new year.

I ordered a few items using super saver delivery on Sunday night 02/12 and they arrived on the estimated delivery date Thursday 06/07 (after they were dispatched on the 4th). Two of the items were not that popular either (Aston Martin DB5 Car, Spiderman Potato Head and Stardust book).

I agree that SSD can be annoyingly slow now but in seven/eight years of using Amazon I have only had one lost delivery, last year. I emailed Amazon customer services and someone emailed me back a few hours later. They usually ask you to wait a few more days. If the package does not turn up they refund you the money. I cannot fault their customer service but as Xmas is approaching, delays are obviously a major issue for people.

I have had loads of parcels delivered with the Home Delivery Network. I always wondered why the same person delivered my stuff! Thanks lisyloo!

Had problems too i emailed amazon and they replied:
We can confirm that it was sent from our Fulfilment Centre via Royal
Mail on November 29, 2007 to the following address

Our records indicate that TNT post has passed your package to Royal
mail on December 04, 2007 at 11:00 hrs. We suggest that you contact
local Post Office/Royal mail directly to arrange to pick up the
    package.

Royal Mail collected it sent it to TNT who sent it back to Royal Mail to send to me
No wonder their are delays

it took 5 days for TNT to hand over my parcel to Royal Mail

My goods are late arriving too, depatched & estimated delivery was the 3rd December. Hope they turn up soon.

    Update:
I emailed Amazon yesterday & their reply.......

    Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.

I can understand your concern regarding the order and I do apologise
profusely for all of the mistakes and delays which contributed to
this very unfortunate series of encounters.

We can confirm that it was sent from our Fulfilment Centre via
Parcelnet on December 11, 2007 to the following address:

So there you have it, ive somehow miraculously got intouch with someone on amazon in the future:rotfl:
The parcel actually arrived this morning, so ive also, somehow received this before they sent it, hows that for service
  • I joined the Amazon Prime service about a month ago for £49 and i've got to say I've been really pleased with the delivery times.

I've ordered 6 things priced under a fiver and they all got shipped out the same day via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

I ordered a cheap book costing £3 around 5.30pm and I recieved it the very next morning around 10am.

Before people ask no I don't work for them :p .
  • They do take a while to deliver. I ordered something for my husbands birthday and that took about 4 days after they said it had been dispatched. Have only had one problem when i ordered a CD, think i was waiting for a few weeks  anyway they sent another one and the other one turned up a day later. :D

Got another email today from amazon saying something has gone very awry with my order and the items i have ordered will not be available before christmass so they have refunded my money.
Those were my hubby's birthday (today) and christmass present's so now i have to rush around and try and find something for him, but one thing is for sure ,it will be a long time before i use amazon again.

    Amazon Prime service ................£49 !!!!!
  • I ordered from Indigostarfish.com via Amazon. It said goods should be with me by the 12th. I emailed Amazon today to tell them that they still hadn't arrived and they advised me to simply check at the local sorting office or reorder?!

It was a DVD. Why would it be at the local sorting office when it could be put through the letter box?
