If it's trackable it has a Track Package button on the order summary. I've found those that say 'Shipped via a Super Saver Delivery carrier' are usually Royal Mail deliveries and allow a week after Amazon's estimates, at times.

I ordered a number of items earlier in the week, all Christmas gifts so no rush really.

The thing is they were all through Amazon themselves, all in stock but so far they've gone and despatched two items, a Calender and a DVD, granted for some reason the DVD is coming from Amazon Jersey not really bothered but no mention of that when I added to my basket. I've had a look at the other items and they're all still in stock, just not despatched.

Call me cynical but haven't they just started up this Amazon Prime £49 for next day delivery for the next year hmmmm... Maybe if we hold back a bit a few more people will sign up?.

It's one thing for the delivery to be slow but I don't think that should actually stop them despatching the goods.

They used to be a lot better!
  • My package arrived through the letter box this morning via TNT/Royal Mail post!

It looks like 'super saver delivery carrier' means Royal Mail second class. So it took 8 days to arrive. I guess they just have a backlog at the moment so it takes slightly longer than the estimated date.

Thanks for all the advice - hope you all get your deliveries too.

Well, am pleased to read this. I have an order outstanding with expected delivery by 20/11 and it hasnt arrived yet. I even went up the PO this morning and they kindly checked out their uncollected parcels for me! Its a dvd set which I would have expected to come Royal Mail.
Good luck everyone it might be useful if people keep posting their experiences
  • Looks like a lot of us are in the same boat. I had an order dispatched on the 15th with a delivery day of the 19th and still nothing. Hopefully it's just a backlog..

I had an item with "expected" delivery of the 17th, and it didn't turn up til 21st. Think Royal Mail is beginning to have Xmas problems already.
Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.

I had a response to my email, currently have a backlog of 2 to 3 days, if item does not arrive 2 to 3 days after estimated delivery time them to contact them again

The problem is not Royal Mail (Amazon took the contract off us!). We can only deliver the goods when the carrier passes them on to RM. This is where the delay is.
Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T

I'm glad to read that I'm not the only one having problems! I have a super saver delivery order with Amazon which is 2 days overdue and no way of telling how far its got,
I also ordered a book from the marketplace which has not yet arrived. I sent an email to the marketplace seller and they said that it had been dispatched and should have already arrived via royal mail so perhaps there is a problem because of xmas already! I wouldnt mind so much if I knew the parcels were going to arrive but I can't even guarantee that!
