I keep getting charged for depositing into a bookmaker - how can I avoid such charges.

They see it as card and charge the same if I bought lottery tickets or currency.

Is it online or in a shop?

If it's online, would depositing by Paypal with your card as the source of funds stop the £20 charge?

'keep getting charged' implies this is a regular thing? Even with a username like 'luckybert' - I might get some professional help if your debts are beginning to rack up as a result of this kind of gambling activity - if it's simply a cashflow thing - I would still question throwing this much money away on a regular basis? Unless you have half a million pounds sat in a savings account somewhere?

Thanks yes I understand just trying to find a way to deposit when I don't have funds in my current account

If you dont have funds in your current account, are borrowing £1,000 to gamble, question the wisdom of that rather than a £20 charge.

Obviously you are rubbish at gambling because if you weren't you wouldnt be borrowing money and you'd have money in your current account from past winnings, so see yourself for the mug you are and stop gambling.

with the OP not replying to previous posts it does look more like a problem gambler than what i assumed hopefully he will take all your advice and stop.

There are ways to make money and quite abit if your cool headed and don't fall into the trap of addictive gambling and an increase in cashflow is essential we even have a dedicated section to this on MSE.

Wow. Gambling with money that isn't even yours.

Sorry but you have a problem.

Not if he wins. Who knows? He may have a sure fire tip on a 100/1 dead cert.

Surely you should be gambling if you don't have funds in current account?

It's not your money to gamble, going to get into serious debt.

    Trust me, I know.
