Shiply not refunding deposit

Hi,
Shiply are a business used by several million people across 8 countries. We're rated Excellent 4.8/5 on TrustPilot (https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.shiply.com).
We want to help you, we're very happy to refund you. We simply need to verify that the transaction did not go ahead. Most people are able to do this in 5 minutes by taking a geo-stamped photo of the item and we provided you with the directions to do this. Understandably you could not do this as the vehicle is not near you anymore. As an alternative way of verifying the transaction did not go ahead, all we have asked for is what garage the proposed purchase of the vehicle was from. You refuse to reply and give that information which would enable us to process the refund for you.
We are happy to help you and refund you. You do simply need to engage with us.
Kind Regards,
Anne

I am also having issues receiving a refund from Shiply for 2 deposits paid. I specifically told Shiply over the phone that I needed the money refunded to my bank account to which they agreed. A few days later the amount was credited to my Shiply account instead which is useless considering I will never use this site again. Its absolutely disgusting how they treat their customers. Has anyone actually received a refund into their bank account from Shiply. I'm a single parent, finding life extremely difficult at the moment with the cost of living crisis and they wont refund my money.shiply said:Hi Piggylily,
Oh dear, that doesn't sound right at all. We always issue a cash refund if you ask for one.
Please can you send me a PM here on the forum with your Shiply username or email address and I will escalate this for you right away.
Thanks,
Anne

Ok I finally got somewhere with Shiply. The only option left to get my deposit back was to raise a dispute with my bank, The NatWest. Once I done that Shiply confirmed that I would be refunded to my back account within 10 days. It's a shame it had to go to this extent but that's Shiply for you.Patkirke said:

Same problem - same company -
1/ 11th August : booked boat transportation through yourselves. Paid £100 deposit
2/ 13th August: Haulier failed to arrive at arranged time - then started messing us around and telling obvious lies - we felt we could be being scammed so we cancelled the collection.
3/ 13th August : contacted shiply to request refund of deposit .
4/ 14th August : I was told my “ cancellation request was submitted successfully “ and “ your deposit payment will be refunded inside the next 5 working days”
Since that promised refund date passed I have contacted them many times and have been advised many times that it is about to be paid but 3 months on I have still not received a penny . They claim that a money transfer company called Wise have processed the refund but this not happened I have received no emails from Wise and certainly no money.
I am considering taking them to a small claims court as this is a significant amount of money to me and I have already used a lot of time, stress and energy pursuing it . I have sent a letter signed for letter of my intent to claim but they have not replied . What should I do next ?

They do not have to respond.Life in the slow lane1 -
The deposit was £199 - not 100 - I copied and pasted from the letter I sent to Shiply , so don’t understand how the figure changed .If I start proceeding do I have to start spending money or if it is sorted by mediation will it be free of charge ? obviously I am worried about spending more than I get back .0
