    Morning All

Well my LR is still in a complete state! WM is on and that's about it so far this morning. Next job is to pull the settee out, clean the windows, hoover where the settee goes and then put it back!

We have a lamp that comes on when you touch it, it normally resides on the coffee table but is currently on the windowsill until I put the coffee table back, Poppy keeps touching it so the light keeps coming on, gets brighter then turns off again!

Hopefully today the LR will look fairly clean and tidy although I can't get rid of the kitchen stuff yet but there isn't too much of that in here, it's mainly in the DR and the conservatory.

    Have a good day all

    Happy Holidays

    Hugs

Two humungous thunderstorms last night with lashings of rain and, I think, hail. But hot and sunny again this morning.

I've a lot of toing and froing planned today - and then no plans to leave chez R until Sunday lunch :D I've made my bed, showered, dressed, fed the birds and been over to Scunny to pick up some IT for work next week. I'm picking up Dad at 11.30 and taking him for lunch at the farmer's shop / cafe where I dined with L yesterday - he's never been so I offered to take him and treat him to lunch. Afterwards I'm going to visit H for a coffee and a catch up - then home sweet home for three days.

I called at PO on my way home: paid next month's Council Tax and bought November birthday cards. No birthdays for me in Sept /Oct but then Nov / Dec / Jan are heaving with birthdays so I like to get in front of myself :D

    Morning all,

Actually it's no longer morning here but never mind. Up early today as took DD1s car for service and then took her shopping for a few bits whilst car being done. A few bargains on the end of sales rails and new underwear (much needed). Also filled her car for her when I was filling mine so she's happy. I'm also taking her to hairdresser with me tomorrow so I will pay for a trim for her too. That 'll be her set up to go back to studying next week.

    WM
Bed made and clothes picked up
Bathroom S/S including giving loo a good clean

Got a few errands to run after lunch and want to look through my clothes to see what I might take for my "girls trip away" next week. Very excited as 4 of us are going to Naples for 4 days.

    Have a nice day everyone

A quick whistle-stop for one of my less-frequent-than-I'd-like visits.

Still boogerin' on as best I can; DH is trying his best, but I have to keep prompting him to actually do something (he keeps parking his butt on the sofa and staring into space) and then coming behind him and re-doing tasks he's done, as he's no longer doing them properly.

I've set myself a task of re-reading all the info we have on Parkinson's with a view to seeing if there's a way to make things easier, as in get a system in place where he knows what's needed without me prompting, and will do the task properly. I think it's a question of his brain functions differently now, and we need to work with that fact in mind; find a method that will lodge info in there.

Sorry, I'm probably not making a lot of sense; I'm not sleeping at night due to a) heat b) pain c) worry.

However, I'm still on the face of the planet; sorry I haven't read through the thread as yet, but I hope everyone's as ok as possible.

    Hi all

Just taking a break for lunch. Salad again!
    Dailies done
    Charity shop drop done
    Parcel dropped off
    Bits for holiday bought
    Morning of paid stuff done

Will vac and dust top floor after I finish later, also going to sort a few bits of paperwork on my desk, another job for later on.

Temperature is quite pleasant here today, sunny, but at least I can get things done without feeling like I am going to melt!

Have a good afternoon all x

Ironing done and on maiden or hangers as appropriate. And the whole lot moved into DD's room to air out of sight.

The plumber actually arrived today! Unfortunately, it was 3 minutes to 1, when I'd been awake until 6 and up at 7.45 for the scheduled appointment time. But he got here.

First job was to retrieve SOME MONSTER'S boxers from the bathroom floor in front of a laughing plumber. He's never done that in 6 years. I will kill him later.

Then had to rescue said plumber from a large arachnid. I did wonder if working in dusty, cobwebby cupboards and under baths was really the right occupation for an arachnophobe, but at least it meant I could trap him in there until the tap was replaced just by bringing it back.

Eventually, the mixer was changed and it looks a while lot better in terms of pressure as well as safety.

Then sprinted halfway down the street to his van to catch him, as the stopcock that he fixed a couple of weeks ago had started leaking again when he had turned the water on and off. That's sorted now, too.

I have washed up, degreased the hob, cleaned the sink, wiped over the countertop, rewashed the clothes he accidentally put into the machine with a towel that smelled of cat wee, and I'm wondering when the first rumble of thunder is going to come, because my head feels like it's about to burst.

Himself is at work and there's a team building thing afterwards.

I am doing very little (like, nothing). He can bring me back a takeaway if he doesn't feel like cooking.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
