I'm really surprised that with how many people that subscribe to the newsletter and visit this site, that it couldn't get to Number 1. If all the people who'd benefited from the FREE site had ordered it surely it would have!

I did order one, for the record. ;)

    Hi folks,

I must admit to beign slightly disappointed with the chart position.

Unfortunately the chart rules were changed after we'd launched (on 31 Decemeber) meaning that the structure we'd set up - the text system meant many sales didnt count unless the track was downloaded (hence the reminder for the download).

Had all sales counted we'd have been in the top 5.... shame... but to get it in the charts and played is still a triumph - albeit a smaller one.

Sorry to disappoint further martin, but you only made 39 in the "Hit40uk" charts...

I now see why its best to listen to the "OFFICIAL" radio 1 charts... lol

I'm not surprised at all - the vast majority of people on the newsletter list and site visitors don't post, and don't contribute anything to the site itself. They come to get a quick bit of freebie advice, or learn how to cut their bills, etc, etc, but don't expect to have to give anything back.

Why would anyone actually expect any of those (admittedly large) number to part with any money for this?

On top of that, you've got the "regulars" who still won't part with money! :)

Then the people who are otherwise supportive but just thought it was an awful song, and on principle felt they wouldn't contribute to something they didn't like whatever the good of the overall cause.

And finally perhaps the cynical few who just thought it was self-promotion for ML and Oystar.

Deduct that whole load and you get the result achieved - not bad really. Despite all the previous hype on this thread I assumed it would get nowhere, so anything is a result for ML. He'll have to try something different to get the fabled No.1 that the performer in the man clearly wants (and wouldn't we all.)

Come on people it was 50p to buy it.

Should have got it to No1.

Just listened to it online and what Reggie and Fern thought of it.

It did say that he hadent heard it until today, and what it was about.

He did have one word after it

    WOW

    Excellent
