Taking this thread at face value, if the mother wishes the daughter to be able to use her account for shopping she can set up a third party bank mandate. And consider using a wheelchair to get to the bank if necessary.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

  • So, are we now supposed to believe that 'petethesteam' is a 79 year old man with hearing loss and mobility issues and he is married to a 78 year old woman. They have sons and a daughter (who is 42 and the author of this thread and that is why we had the slip up of saying your mother is 78 when you were writing as a 79 year old)?

So, petethesteam's daughter, from the OP, it was actually you who answered the phone..
I need to say that although someone did phone my home, daughter answered and I was at my sons..
By the way, who is the JD Williams fashion clothing for?

He died in 1998 or 1999 (exact year unclear :rotfl:), though. Which could, just could, be a good enough reason for why HSBC has blocked his account now, he can't visit an HSBC Branch any more, and also can't get a valid passport?

and in Nov 2009 - dad or mum or daughter -

"I used to have a full time and a part time job and ended up working about 12 hours a day:

    9-5 Magistrates Court
    7-11 Local pub

I now work 9-5.30 for a security firm, and earn an aditional income as a Marketing Affiliate, which is working out for me, but understand that it does not for everyone.

No where near as tiring as the job and pub."

as well as going back and forward to the states !
