Equifax Complaint

Options
I made a complaint to Equifax about an entry on my credit file I did not recognise. The response time for the creditor making the entry has now elapsed.
What do i do as it's still just showing as an open dispute?

Its all a bit pointless complaining to the CRA`s, all they do is ask the creditor if the information is correct, computer says it is, complaint denied.
Complain to the creditor thats actually giving them the information, only they can launch an investigation and put things right.

I've already complained to them previously and they've constantly said "my account will be placed on hold whilst they review my complaint" or "we are still looking in to your enquiry", it's Lowell for an unknown default they can't provide me with any proof of and It's supposedly relating to a bank I've never had an account with. I just seem to be going around in circles.

Ah Lowell again, they are debt buyers, when they buy a debt, they become responcible for reporting the account to the CRA`s, the old default from the original creditor will say satisfied, with a zero balance, they will then place a default in their name on your files, (same default, debts default only once) as long as the date of original default is the same as the original entry, its all above board, was that your issue, or something else ?

That I never had the alleged debt in the first place. I've constantly queried it, it's for a bank I've never had an account with, and they cannot provide me with anything relating to it. There's no original default as there never was a default.
