Don't be daft. Put an appeal template in.0 -
That was a poor response from McDonalds probably from some junior member of their Customer Services.
Send your email to Paul Pomroy again on 1st September also stating how disappointed you are that your meal has attracted a £100 surcharge.0 -
It says he's the team leader of the customer services department.
(the person who replied to my email)0 -
This Team Leader has possibly just been promoted from sweeping to chip frying so not standing in for the CEO.
FYI member OrangeTangerine reported a McDonalds cancellation today even though Mr Pomroy is away.
So try again - be the nuisance they want to go away.0 -
Failing that send the template. Do you know how to cut and paste a template?0
-
Which template are you referring to - I did send one to MET using a template, do you mean send this MET one to Paul?.
And should I send the same email again tomorrow as it is or change it a bit?0 -
The one from the Newbies thread to Met?0

I sent this to MET:Re PCN number: [number omitted]
To whom it may concern,
I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a formal complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner and to my MP.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can therefore be drawn. Since your PCN is a vague template, I require ALL photos taken and an explanation of the allegation and your evidence, i.e.:
- If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner. If you fail to evidence the actual grace period that applies at this site or suggest that only one period applies, this will be disregarded as an attempt to mislead. In the absence of evidence, it will be reasonably taken to be a minimum of twenty minutes in accordance with the official BPA article by Kelvin Reynolds about 'observation periods' on arrival being additional and separate to a 'grace period' at the end.
- in all cases, you must include a close up actual photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date.
Formal note:
Should you later pursue this charge by way of litigation, note that service of any legal documents by email is expressly disallowed and you are not entitled to assume that the data in this dispute/appeal remains the current address for service in the future.
Yours faithfully,
[Name omitted]
What should my next steps be? Send another email to Paul Pomroy, or wait for him to get back on September 1st before I do this? Should I send the same letter as before, or a different one? I have considered mentioning the fact that although in the reply to me it says they do not consider case-by-case scenarios, they did as the aforementioned user did receive success through an email to Paul, and their case is the same as mine.0 -
Wait till 1st September and resend to Paul Pomroy.
You could mention that others have been cancelled and how pleased you’d be if he would do the same for you.0 -
Thank you. I will try this.0
