Yes I've just read that and was going to respond, but decided against it. I get a headache when I :wall: too often.
Why people are doing this every few days escapes me. The additional interest achieved must be miniscule.
Because it takes only a out 10 seconds, and you dont know if itl be withdrawn.0 -
Had my Marcus account only about a month and can't fault it but...
I assumed that logging in always needed email address with password followed by the choice of 6 digit code being sent to email address or via text message as this had always been the norm so far. However - yesterday I logged in with just email address and password. I logged out then in again - same happened again.
Today I had to choose the 6 digit code via email or text to be able to access the account.
Was this a blip with Marcus security or does it happen sometimes at random?

Marcus place a cookie on you machine when you successfully log in. When you log in again it looks for the cookie and if it is the log in does not require the extra check with the text /email of the code. If the cookie isn't found then the check is required.
Are you clearing cookies regularly? This would stop this working.0 -
If I log in a few times a day I only have to enter the verification code once. If I leave it a day or so it always asks for it. I rarely clear cookies0

Its almost certainly going to be using a form of machine learning based login to determine risk. Based upon repeat logins, new locations, etc0

Ive never been asked for the 6 digit code
Just my email & password, then im in.0 -
Bear in mind if someone can log in as you the only real damage they can do is withdraw your balance to the linked account.
As a consequence, trying to change the linked account will always require the full password test to be passed.0 -

Well I hadn't logged in for nearly a week so would have expected to need a verification code.
