BT charging me £3.00 for 1571!

It is not chargeable calls. Inclusive calls also count so if you make the calls at the weekend they will be free and count towards your 2 per month/ 6 per quarter.

BT says on http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayCategory.do?categoryId=CON-CAL-FEAT-R1

"Customers who do not make chargeable or inclusive calls with BT will be charged for BT Answer 1571 standard service. Customers who are billed monthly must make at least two chargeable or inclusive calls with BT in that month (excludes calls made with BT Broadband Talk) or BT will charge (incl. VAT) £1.00 a month for the standard BT Answer 1571 service. Customers who are billed quarterly must make at least six chargeable or inclusive calls with BT within that quarter or BT will charge (incl. VAT) £3.00 a quarter."

Apologies if I'm being a bit dense, but people keep on saying 'I left you a message', well we haven't got an answerphone! So, I've just found out the messages are on 1571, which I presumed was a BT service. We are with Virgin, so 1, how come 1571 is still available? and 2, am I getting billed for it?, 3, if so, how do I stop it?

Can anyone help please???
