As MK says, certainly sounds like it's the same 156 messages that are stuck in limbo between Spamkiller and Outlook. Unfortunately I have no experience of Spamkiller as I never get any spam (please excuse the smugness of that comment!).
I guess the key thing right now is to find out if your new email address is working. If Outlook does not complain about the new account/password combination then it probably is. If you can send yourself a test message then maybe your IPSs webmail interface is down temporarily.
And MK's advice about having several email accounts for different purposes is good. I always have at least one email address that I don't care about having to change.0 -

As long as you don't check/uncheck boxes, change deatils, or click any buttons saying "disable" you cant do any harm by clicking on different tabs to try and find a "stop current jobs" type button.
If you find anything similar justp ost it in here ^-^
If I was helpful I'd google it and find out, but I'm working as well so bit busy
Just use Thunderbird and Google instead
I have McAfee Security Centre. It seems to cover all the bases. But I have clicked on all the tabs and can't find anything with stopping current jobs or anything like that.
If I download Thunderbird....I already use Firefox....do I have to change my email address AGAIN? As it is ....ntlworld.com at the moment. It has taken me ages to inform people and companies of my new email addy today.

My new email is working in Outlook. But I am still getting the message from McAfee saying processing 1/156 or processing 1/118.

No, Thunderbird works in the same way as OutlookExpress, but it has more features e.g. a spam filter which you train to recognise spam, by marking unwanted messages.
IIRC Thunderbird will ask if you want to import your settings and address book.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
How will changing Outlook to Thunderbird stop this McAfee SpamKiller message saying Processing 1/156 or Processing 1/118, if changing my email addy didn't work?

Change from Outlook to another email client? From personal experience, don't bother. I moved from Outlook to Thunderbird and then to Evolution (because I moved from Windoze to Linux). If you're familiar with the user interface of Outlook, the subtle differences are a pain to get used to, and transferring contact and diary data did not work well (for me, at least).
It ~seems~ that Spamkiller is causing your problems. If you can get to the control panel to check its configuration and delete the queue then I would do that. If you can't then I would suggest that it is no use to you - what is the point of a spam filter that you can't control? - and you should uninstall it.
And maybe seek a refund from McAfee, but don't hold your breath on that one!0 -

Great. I only installed this thing cos I got these blooming spam emails from this recruitment company that started this whole thing off!
I am in the Control Panel. Can't seen an icon for it, what am I looking for to check its configuration?
Thanks by the way for all your help.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
Sorry - I should not have used the term "Control Panel" (as in the Windows Control Panel) but the utility that allows you to configure Spamkiller. It should either be in a sub-menu in "All programs" or possibly as additional menu options that it has installed in Outlook.
If there is no obvious way to configure the program then I guess you have to assume that it has not installed correctly and is not useable (and hence justifies a refund, in theory...).0 -

Not being very tech minded...as you can see.... I will probably get myself into all sorts of trouble with this configuration basis. So I guess I should just uninstall it. If this doesn't solve it, I will then jump off the pier. Its £20 a year unless I tell them otherwise. I won't get a refund, there will be a loophole I am sure.....:(
I had a free AVG 7.5 thing before and had no problems, but as soon as I got this rogue email from a recruitment company and started getting hundreds of messages bounced back to me, I thought it best to pay for a decent security thing.
