OP hasn't mentioned compensation, which is why people were asking for clarification. But still gets the compo face comments etc.

As the OP is still chasing it up 5+ months after they have returned from the holiday, I can't think of any reason other than compensation for doing this.0 -
Compensation culture as usual, it must always be someone else’s fault.
You got ill on holiday, it happens, get over it. Why is everyone out to try and shaft companies when it’s likely to be nothing to do with them?
Hopefully they’ll see sense and give you the truth - it’s just one of those things, move on.
If you’re really desperate for cash, send the story to the Daily Mail featuring your best ‘compo face’ and you might get a hundred quid.0
