I find that in both my cars, the Renault/Nissan and the Jimny, (both have a fairly high driving position) if I stop near the stopline, I can't see the traffic lights at all, louvres or not, as they are blocked by the roof. The solution is to stop at the point that the lights are just in view, which is a few yards short of the line. How do the people who actually stop over the line manage?

In The Olden Days there used to be repeater lights on the other side of the junction, these seem to be fewer, and disappear when a junction is overhauled.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

I get that in a Saab 9-3, not high seating position, but roof line a long way in front of driver.

Great on a lot of the continent where they have low level ones for cyclists.
