Query on credit file - Help

Potentially yes0

I have a late marker last year from a mobile company provider. I have spent two weeks disputing this because i believe i paid on time before the cut off point. The looked at their notes and said i was given the wrong information about the cut off time and it was marked as late and it wont be changed. Etc ETC. So they will not change the late payment as their final response!I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -
after due date and after the date they put a marker on. it was my own fault0
-
Then why the heck are you disputing the late marker!?0
-
oh god. that is done. no more dispute. complaint not upheld. Ive accepted it. I am just focusing on the query now0
-
The query is there because you disputed the late marker.
It’s as simple as that.
Now you have to go through the process all over again to ask them to remove it or not add it.0 -
i just want to be sure the query defo has a negative impact ony my file. They said it will look better having it
hence thread, i appreciate your opinion and take it on board as i have no knoweldge on this. But i would like 5 or 6 more opinions if possibble0 -
Q – Query
Q is for ‘Query’ and is used when an account is under review, usually due to a query between customer and lender regarding the account.

It won't have a negative impact on your file but if it forces lenders to review your file manually when you apply for credit (as a notice of correction would) then it's going to make applications for credit take a little longer.
I don't agree that it will make the situation look any better, it's just saying that you disagree with it. It doesn't mean that there is any validity to your complaint.0 -
is it such a bad thing lenders viewing ur credit file manually?
for people like me who dont have a great credit history it might be a good thing rather then a straight up rejection0
