I know i risk turning in to one of those annoying MSE members with this post here, those who really irritate the crap out of me because this guy could be being perfectly genuine ... but has anyone considered the possibility that this person is just trolling?0

Have you been into them and asked to speak to the manager ?
Ok heres a task for you, go into ten of the cafes, pubs etc tomorrow and ask if they have any jobs even if for a few hours a week, if answers no the offer to do an hour or 2 for free to show what your capable of.0 -

I did think Sam was genuine but the number of times hes come back with the same issue Im beginning to doubt he is.0 -

Well that's it then, no job then.0 -
Wishing things were better is pointless. They will only get better when you make it happen.
Your weight, for example, it’s virtually certain that it’s lifestyle choices making you fat, so why are you making those choices? You don’t work, so you could have spent your days losing weight. Why did you not?
You are also telling lies here to avoid taking any responsibility for your own choices. You said above that you don’t have a pub, and then when called out on this untruth you say that you have already applied there.
You need to ask your GP for a referral to someone who can work out why you seem so determined to make choices that make you so unhappy, or just notice that you are doing it, and stop.0 -
Samtheman1111111 wrote: »And why would i be trolling Because you don't think anybody at the age of 27 is like me. Well reality check they are
1. I don't have a girlfriend still
2. I don't have a job
3. I can't drive
4. I'm still fat
5. Im still spotty
All of these you can sort, particularly 2 and 3. What your step siblings do is irrelevant to this discussion, and it makes no difference whether you're Naomi Campbell or Mr Blobby behind the username.
I suggest rather than peeing and moaning like you are, go and do something about your jobless situation. Get out and physically go places. Knock on doors, hand CVs out, stand on the physical middle of a busy roundabout with a big "I need a job" signs at rush hour.0 -
Sam, you are not better than them. You are coming across as a really deeply unpleasant person. How can you possibly have this sense of superiority given the facts?
Please, in what way do you actually think that you are better than a pub manager? Do you not see how horrible thing that is to say?0 -
Samtheman1111111 wrote: »Not better then the manager but better then the staff, i have seen the staff that work in pubs or fast food, they are the lowest of the low. They are dogs, they are just nothing. They should be PLEASED that i am applying for them and give the job to me.
Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous thing to say. And you wonder why you can't find any work with an attitude like that.0 -
Samtheman1111111 wrote: »Um because i wouldn't have that attitude working. I would just work for the money
Yes but that's not the point. You need the right attitude to get in first. Missing five interviews tells an interviewer this guy can't turn up on time for this, how can I trust him to come to work in the future?
You come across as being an individual who thinks he can stroll into any job in the world by clicking his fingers and a manager will come running with a job offer. Unless you are president of a company (or own it), it doesn't work like that. The sooner you realise that the better.0 -
Samtheman1111111 wrote: »So how the hell does it work then. I DO NOT WANT TO BE JUDGED BY A MANAGER AT MCDONALDS OR A CAFE WHO IS YOUNGER THEN ME
My previous line manager was 13 months younger than I was. One of my current supervisors is six years younger than I am. Am I bothered? No. You shouldn't be too.
Now I'm not going to get sucked into an argument but I suggest rather than ignoring the meat of the thread in favour of the "poor me" segments, you concentrate on the meat. You've had some good advice that you need to take on board and use. If you don't want to do that then the exit is over there.0
