I do paay tax because i have a job anyway I received a letter saying that they are not longer offering their banking services due to a fraudulent transaction of 3,800£ so i have to bring my id with so they can settle my account.. and on the other page say that if this is not an option please call us to discuss the way we can return any of the fund which belongs to you

Is there a question there ?

Id stop using the video chat or website that started all this.
  • Beany bot, if your evidence are some claims on YouTube then I honestly don’t know what to say. I just hope that your credulous / gullible outlook hasn’t caused you to end up poor and struggling.

Johnnyldn - from your first post you say this money isn't yours anyway so why should Lloyd's give it to you?

Have you a second or even third bank account you can use ?

What on earth are you talking about? This post makes no sense at all. What do you mean "some claims on youtube"? I was pointing out that youtube, twitch, mixer, camster etc are enormous platforms where people send each other money as tips every second. Millions and millions of transactions a day. a £3000 tip is absolutely believable. One of my businesses deals in this space actually so I very familiar with it and far from being "credulous" I make a good deal of money from it thanks very much.

Maybe you shouldn't mouth off about things you don't know about. Just because you don't understand it doesn't make me credulous or gullible. :money:

I was happy but unfortunately the bank suspended my account

The bank haven't suspended your account, they have closed it due to suspecting you of money laundering / using your account for fraudulent purposes.

I went to the bank and ask them how to unlock my account but they said you need to provide us with a statement from the person who send you the money but unfortunately that person was a rendom person from a videochat i am not able to see the person name or something like that .. I won’t be able to get that from him since i dont know who is it.

So you have zero proof of your version of events? You are screwed then.

Be prepared to receive a category 6 first party fraud CIFAS marker which means that if you have any other bank accounts, credit cards etc. be prepared for those companies to close your accounts with them too (if they run monthly checks with the CRAs) as

You will not be able to open a bank account / credit card / loan / mortgage etc or any form of credit for the next 6 years.

What they mean by this is presumably you had other money in your bank account at the time before the £3.8k was deposited and if you want this money back (not the £3.8k) then you need to go into a branch with your ID so they can pay it to you.

OP. Please don't answer this.

I was really hoping that they would. Curiosity well and truly piqued as to why a complete stranger would send yiu €3800 as a one off payment. Unless you're a very specialist performer indeed.
And as is regularly pointed out, to get specific answers you need to provide the relevant information. From the OP's coyness, my guess would be he had an inkling the funds were dubious.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

The problem here is that the OP received it directly into their bank account. If this had been a tip given via the video streaming platform that would almost certainly have "legitimised" the transaction and none of this would have happened.

My suspicion is that the person sending the tip was not the account holder.
  • Do you guys think if they will close my lloyds account will affect my Barclays account too?
Which is up running I receive my salary income on it
Its that going to be safe?

It’s likely to affect all of your bank account.
