Wow well done. You're right- without monthly payments to your debt then you'll be able to build your savings back up quickly.
    Hello Kakiste,

    Thank you!

It has not been easy at all, and willpower to stick at it was hard for me a lot of the time.

Glad i finally got there though, but this is the start of another journey to save and remain debt free.

It is difficult so keep on posting to let everyone know how you get on with your journey and your savings. It will encourage others to do the same.

  • I got a couple more surveys done this evening, hopefully not too long till i can cash out.

Although this is extremely organised which i usually am not, i am going to start getting bargains when i see them towards xmas gifts instead of shopping last minute and spending a fortune.

I am not falling into a debt trap again over the xmas period for gifts which i have many times previously!

  • Two more surveys completed today :)
Once agreed i will be able to cash out £5.

Bought my first xmas gift today, Boots had No7 beauty box at £32 with over £100 worth of products so I got that for my sister as i always struggle with her and usually just get a voucher.

I am going to put my survey money towards gifts now so i can be super organised and not use my credit cards!

Laura - I always try to buy things as I go along. I got a beautiful leather bag for my nephew's wife reduced from £85 to £34 ( I have only a few gifts to buy but I would never spend £85 on a gift normally). It's perfect. I know it's a genuine reduction because Himself bought me something similar last year. Yoshi, if you're interested and they do purses, etc as well. If you get just a couple every month you won't need to use your credit cards and it makes for a happy January. Another thing I do is buy a book of stamps every now and again because postage is expensive. I think you can do a survey type thing for Royal Mail which gets you free stamps but I'm not eligible as I used to work for them but maybe somebody could point you in the right direction for that one.
