Virgin making no attempt to keep me, how about others?

We've been with Virgin Media (Broadband only) for a few years now and usually pay around £31/£33 for their 200Mbps package. Usually when the price increases come they waive them for us or give us monthly bill credit to cancel it out but this time it's up at £39 and they aren't offering much in the way of keeping us. I think £36 was the best they'd do - when I said I'd cancel they started the notice immediately.
I'm hoping they'll get in touch and offer a better price but I don't see it happening. I don't want to leave them and may have to call on the second last day and accept the £36 contract renewal but interested to hear if anyone else is having more success?

Will that still be on offer or will it have gone back up to £39?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
Yeah the guy removes my offer! So be warned.0

If the offer goes, I'll most likely downgrade to the 100Mbps package at £27/month through uSwitch.0

Don’t panic! They will call.0

they offered me £24 for the 200mb if I took out a new 12 month contract
however they did not apply this to the new contract/bill despite that being the only reason I agreed to stay - so they offered me a good deal(when my bill went from £31 to £34) but are trying to screw me out of it
plus there is a £20 install fee which makes no sense as I simply renewed with them, same router etc0 -
Same thing has happened to me, rang to cancel, was made an offer of over 50% off and a free month. Brilliant.
Next bill was the old amount, rang to complain, got told nothing they can do, they have no facility to give refunds, and that I cannot cancel as when agreeing to the offer (which they haven't applied) I agreed to a 12 month contract.0 -
typical of them.
you need to check the contract carefully within 14 days of agreeing
contract can be download from your account (under bills I think)0 -
Do you get to speak to CSA's in the UK?0
