Can We File for PPI After Aug 29th If We Enquired Before Aug 29th?

I'm just wondering, if I file an enquiry today and they don't come back to me by the 29th August Deadline - can I still make a claim?
I understand that claims need to be made before Aug 29th, but unsure how this is affected when you take into account enquiries and probes, and if any enquiries that are not responded to before 29th would make any claim invalid.
TIA

Thank you
So would it be worth/possible to file a complaint on, say the 28th, without having a response from the enquiry?0 -

Face it, you are already too late to make a compelling complaint if you are still only making enquiries0 -
Well this is my point, why have a complaint deadline of the 29th and no enquiry deadline, it's going to cause relentless problems and overhead as people will continue to spend all of august enquirying for no reason, the banks will be affording man power and staffing to dealing with all of that, again, for nothing0

No "enquiry deadline" is needed, nor will you get anywhere complaining on that basis..0 -
Some institutions are opening PPI complaints on the back of enquiries due to the deadline approaching.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

If you have already sent your enquiry and they have acknowledged it you will be fine.
They will not entertain any new cases after August 29th.0 -
So, if people are only just making enquiries as to whether they have PPI on their various accounts, it’s too late to put a complaint in?
Is this accurate info? Just checking as some family members have just sent off the online forms today to see if they have any PPI.0
