Freetrade free trading app

I am looking to trade shares as cheaply as possible, and stumbled across Freetrade (I have no affiliation with them). They offer free trading but at the moment they do not do all shares. This is a bit frustrating am I am looking at trading mostly small cap or AIM shares. Before I start using them has anyone on here used them?

Brilliant thanks, I will get reading!0

So they've been focusing on the development of a new investment platform recently. Apparently this will enable them to significantly increase the number of shares and funds available and also fast track new features:

They're due to start revealing the bulk of the free share referrals this week. There was talk of a £200 per limit on the free shares but by the comments from the team some lucky investors might receive a much more valuable share. Here's hoping for an Alphabet or Amazon share! :T
If there are any specific stocks or funds that you'd like to see on the platform you can request them by posting a thread on the community forum.

I tried to install it on my phone but you need Android 7 or later to even see it in the store (which I do not)Think first of your goal, then make it happen!0

N1ckS, yes it will be interesting to see what the free share will be. Remind me - do we need to wait before cashing in and closing the account?0

Also apparently you have to have Play Protect Certification:

Great, I have never even heard of Play Protect Certification before!
Edit: Spotted this review of Freetrade by Pensioncraft on Youtube:

I've been watching a few of the Pensioncraft videos since seeing that review. Very informative and helpfully impartial.
There are obviously significant limitations to the platform at the moment and even when fully developed many investors will probably be better suited to another platform. It'll be interesting to see whether they can survive in what will likely be a fast disappearing niche market with competitors like Revolut, Robinhood, Bux etc but I like that they don't offer CFD trading.

I'm with Freetrade, it's brilliant, the team over there are very helpful if you come across any problems, a great community. They'll soon be launching their new investment platform and with that there will be loads of new shares/companies etc you can invest in.
