Hi.
I was with extraenergy when they went bust back in 2018. I have only just received my final bill. It was from Extra Energy themselves not an administrator. It appears to be charging me for a weeks worth of energy and says my gas amount in this time is £400!! They've taken some credit off so my final bill is £137.

What's the best way forward with this? We obviously didn't use £400 worth of gas in one week!

Thanks

It is not necessarily a case of using that amount in one week. If previous bills were using estimated reads it could well be a catch up bill but there does seem to be some cases of them winging it ! You need to do the sums to see if it is correct.
  • Thanks. Problem is that I can't see any of my old bills due to them shutting the online portal down. It says I had £300 credit and then they've applied that to the bill. The period of billing is one week.
  • I paid my last bill on the 2nd Nov and the bill is for the 18th to the 24th. The company ceased trading on the 25th
