    yes thats what Im asking
    the mse article says
you could even have it without knowing (see the mis-selling checklist, which includes Plevin too). A major problem was that sales staff were hugely incentivised to sell PPI whenever possible.
One of the ways PPI was mis-sold was by being added without you being told.

You need someone to complain to. Without knowing who that is, you can't make a complaint.

Dinard would I be right in saying you are only merely speculating that you may have possibly had PPI and therefore were Mis-sold this ‘speculative’ PPI?

Most mortgages are put in place by estate agents, advisers, mortgage brokers. These were not regulated until January 2005. So, if you used one and its from before 2005 then you know misselling wont apply to you. If it is after 2005 then these people only account for under 5% of PPI complaints and have an uphold rate of 16%. So, statistically very low.

Even the banks have a low uphold rate on MPPI they put in place. You can still buy MPPI today. Its not a bad type of PPI. So, you would need a bit more info on why you think it was missold. At the moment, you dont even know if you had it (and most didnt).

It's a CMC myth that PPI was routinely added without you knowing. Unfortunately, it's one of the most commonly used "complaint" reasons.

Well you claim to remember you had PPI on your mortgage so can’t use the I didn’t know I had it excuse there... and perhaps the reason you can’t remember any others is because you didn’t have it... much more likely than ‘you didn’t know you had it’
