Any time I sign up for anything or renew anything, broadband, utilities, insurance etc I put the end date on my electronic calendar and set a reminder for a month previously. Helps avoid these sort of issues.
Not sure if that is an option for you?
Like I said, in an ideal world.
It's good that things will be regulated a bit more next year, Sky admitted today that they are trialing a system where they alert customers when their contract / deal is due to run out. They themselves worded it today as my 'contract had finished' so maybe companies need to word things better. As much as it is a cliche none of us read the entirety of every service contract we sign, so it would help if service providers worded the main points a bit clearer.0 -

Agreed, but if you were on a deal of some sort over a defined period of time then you should definitely be aware of when that deal ends.
Well worth setting yourself a reminder, whether that is electronic or good old paper in a diary.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
I think you will find most ISPs bump up the price as soon as your contracted price ends. Make sure you put it in your diary for 12/18 months or whatever and call them ahead to ensure you do not pay more than you need to.0

120 of them you say? Strange, I'm opted in and rarely get any.0 -

I only have standard adsl broadband and land line, the onslaught of marketing emails were to get me to sign up to fibre optic and take a TV package.0
