Three In's I forgot to report before. None strictly necessary, but I'm happy with them :o

    - Note Detox & Protect Foundation
    - Note Full Coverage Liquid Concealer
    - Clarins 4 in 1 pencil

I was back in Ireland, and everyone is RAVING about Note foundations, so I had a look when I saw them in a local store. Low price (£8.95!), liked the coverage, so figured I'd give it a go when I found a good colour match.
And wow - it's utterly fantastic. :happyhear
I've not used my other foundation (Clinique Beyond Perfecting) once since I got it, it's just ridiculously good - so natural, beautiful finish, very longwearing, and nice coverage, which you can easily build up if you need to. Also vegan and creutly free! Some of the colours are a bit odd though, it wasn't easy to find a match - some quite grey and ashy, some VERY pale (this was in Ireland :P).

I've not used the concealer much yet - it's really nice, but I've others to finish first. And the Clarins pencil hasn't been used yet at all - it was a total impulse buy as it was less than half price, and looks just like the old-school 4 way ballpoint pens, so I couldn't resist :D
  • I finished the nuxe oil. It is grand , fine but nothing extraordinary. I have another full bottle to be getting on with but no decision on replacing yet

I hate waste and try and use things up. Re
  • I'm using my phone and pressed post to fast.

Avoided temptation in boots and tk Maxx. Worried that my make up obsessiveness is transferring to athletic gear. How much do I need. Got new real swim suit and hat. I bought it instead of a new shampoo. I have loads of unopened bottles at home so was really delighted with myself.

Note appeared out of nowhere. A lot of companies do a soft launch in Ireland before moving forward with UK launch. They fine tune markets and ranges. Physician formula, wet n wild, la girl, flomar, Milani and another few that I can't recall are in the process of soft launch in Ireland. There is always more selection of high Street make up in Ireland compared to the UK.

    Last UUs for the month:

Arm & Hammer sensitive care toothpaste -WMBA, didn't see any difference between this and the ordinary version.

Victoria's secret dual-phase soap & skin coconut oil: WMBA, if on special offer. Smelt nice and moisturised my skin.

Mitchum Shower fresh deodorant spray - HG

    Ins:

2 poundland brand perfumes to use as room sprays

Beau reve - Dupe of Lancome's La vie est belle
Vivid Sky - Dupe of Dolce Gabbana's Light Blue

I've seen these on ebay for £9 so I hope people do their research before buying!

Sainsbury's tampons - The applicators are now biodegradable so will reduce the need for nappy bags for pads and disposing.

Aaaah interesting - I remember a lot of alcoholic drinks being trialled in Ireland when i was younger - if the Irish didn't like it, it wouldn't work anywhere i guess :rotfl:

I never thought about cosmetics being soft launched like that - very interesting, thanks! I have to admit, I was very suspicious when I first heard about the Note foundation, as I'd never heard of the brand before. But I'm very glad I gave it a go! I'm very fussy about foundation, and have had samples of many. But I'm totally won over, so am very pleased it was mentioned to me while I was back. It's quite like doublewear - lasts as well (or better!), but doesn't have the colour issues I had with doublewear (being Irish I'm quite pale and pink toned), and the finish is more natural to me (I've only tried one Note foundation though).

I might have to check out more of the range next time I'm back

I have had a bit of a spree this week, I took advantage of various offers to stock-up on things I am reasonably low of in my stash, however I bought so much soap it's ridiculous, I just went a bit bonkers since discovering I can make shower gel from it! At least it can't leak or take up much room I guess!

I've got a Holland & Barrett order to declare later, also I'm awaiting a Beauty Pie order and an Avon order, I am down to my last bit of Lancome Genefique serum, which is my HG, there's no offer on it at the moment so I've ordered some Avon ones to try instead.

My update for now is below.

    UU
Avon True Nutra Effects Micellar Cleansing Wipes x 25 - OK but nothing special.
Boots Time Delay Day Cream spf 30 50ml - very nice, I've got one more in the stash.
Elemis Skin Buff 50ml - WNBA, didn't do much!
Herbal Essences Shampoo 400ml - Bee Strong - Not a big fan of the fragrance so WNBA.
Lancôme Hydra Zen Night Cream 15ml - Very nice, WNBA though unless it's in a GWP set.
No7 HydraLuminous Overnight Recovery Gel Cream 50ml - Rubbish in comparison to the (generally) much cheaper Avon ANEW overnight gel, which I have now moved on to.
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Lotion 50ml - UUd as hair mask, bored of the fragrance now!

    GA
Morrisons Charcoal Toothpaste 100ml - Too minty for me but did an excellent job of whitening in one use!
Sephora Cleansing wipes x 2 - Green Tea & Rose - to my neighbour's daughter, who was unable to source any in the US or Spain!

    IN
Avon Simply Delicate Soothing Feminine Wash 300ml x 3 - HG, on sale at 75p each to reps so I stocked up!

    (Will) TA
Elemis White Brightening Even Tone Serum 10ml - HORRID stuff, purchased last year but seems it was manufactured in 2015, I will try to trace on here where I purchased it from as I've put a complaint in to Elemis as I think it was out of date when I bought it.

TA Lush none of your beeswax lip balm - I had been forcing myself to finish this up - even though it was definitely way past it's best... but the tin got completely stuck shut and I cannot for the life of me open it again. I feel like this is not the first time this has happened to one of these with me so will try and avoid re-purchasing.
