It makes your skin cells turn over much faster than is natural and I’m not sure that’s a good thing long term, it’s also known for thickening your skin which just makes me think of the people with leathery skin from the sun, I’m just not comfortable with the concept so I’ll be sticking to the things I know work for me. ;):)

That being said I am going to use up these creams, a couple of pots of the most gentle derivative of retinol won’t hurt, but I will avoid it when buying things in the future, which unfortunately means I can’t try the Aldi SPF30 day cream :(

Thanks so much for this info, makes sense to me to avoid it.

Nothing to report but I am very excited to see all these UU's! I am probably not going to have another one this month but have only bought one thing in August so feeling pleased with that!

Does anyone have any ideas for what to use unwanted shampoo and conditioner for besides handwash? I might end up giving one away because it really isn't working out for me.

I finished dregs of a shampoo lingering in the bathroom for ages.

Finished Laura Geller highlighter. It was fine but used it up as a eye Shadow. The elf replacement is too irredesecent. My face resembles a glitter ball. The Laura Geller one was amazing as it didn't transfer or travel around the face and came off easily with make up remover. The replacement is hard to remove and glitter is everywhere.

Finished a Clinique moisturiser. It was nice. Would buy again.

If you want a recommendation, I love the No7 shimmer palettes, I have them both, they are a lovely subtle shimmer with a bit of colour, not glittery at all....

A lot of people rave about it but like everything toiletries wise, it comes down to personal preference :)

Conditioner is good for hair mask or for shaving, I can't think of anything for shampoo other than handwash and shower gel...

Use the shampoo to wash makeup brushes with.

I have used shampoo to wash the floor. It was fine cleaned it well and no stickiness that you can get with real floor cleaner.

I used old shower gel expired in 2014 last week to clean the bath and it was so good. It was better than anyother product.

you can use shampoo for the laundry especiallly woolens. The organic shampoos are not great but if it is the difference between no laundry detergent and a pile of dirty clothes, it works. all detergents are something similar. Old cheap shampoo in hotels is excellent for removing stains and freshen up of clothes, avoid on the scalp.

I have couple of lingering shampoo bottles so thanks for all the ideas.

I've ordered and received from Beauty Pie:

2 x Glycolic Acid Toner. I was out of toner and this has good reviews, so ordered 2 bottles.
1 x Super healthy skin ultimate anti-aging cream - ordered to replace the same one that I UU'ed today.

    One UU this morning:

Vichy Thermal Spa Water 150ml WBA. A cheaper alternative to the Avene one which I like, but I prefer the mister on this one because it has more of an even mist. Great to use when I use my Hada Labo lotion, really helps it draw moisture into my skin. Will replace soon.

One more UU - Garnier The Sleek Restorer Hair Mask with coconut oil and cocoa butter. WDBA. This is really good for the price you pay, helps my hair to look better. It isn't the best but very good value for money
