If they haven't got the black "platinum" card then it's likely they have the white "credit builder" card that doesn't earn any points

Just for reference, on the PC mine shows a picture of the actual card on the checkout screen, if you choose any other card it just shows a Mastercard or Visa logo. Might not be so obvious if your card isn't the black one. I don't use the App so I dunno what the interface is like on there.

But, to go back to your original question, I think you just need to chalk this down as a mistake and learn from experience. You could speak to new Day and see if they'll do anything about updating the records, but i doubt they will and they're under no obligation to do so.
