Morning all.
I've taken another day off as I'm still feeling a bit iffy. I will have to go back tomorrow as I can't afford to lose any more money so I'm going to sleep lots today if possible.
I'm waiting from my plan to arrive from the nutritionist. Its going to take some organisation (not something I'm known for) and separate shopping for myself but I have to do it.
I'm going to have a little go in DS's room too as it's . I also need to finish the washing I found yesterday before the holiday at the end of the week.
Anyway have a fab day all. X1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hope you feel better soon PH, and that you can get the benefits side of things sorted out... it just doesn't seem right that you have to go into work for money when you are getting chemo etc for cancer! :mad:I Believe.....

Thanks Chrystal. I guess it's just the way it is but not something I'm going to rant about as it's one of those subjects folks get upset about.
Its been an odd couple of days. I took DS to breakfast club Wednesday morning and by the time I got back in the car after a very short walk I could barely breathe. I rang work in tears telling my manager I was going to the a & e so couldn't come in. One benefit to having chemo is that they fast track you through and I had a cubicle within 30 minutes of arriving including time in triage. I was kept in though as they realised that the fluid on my lungs was quite bad and I spent the night listening to an elderly lady snoring like a big, hairy bloke. She snored ALL night until the point the nurses woke us up when she went quiet but continued to sleep. I'm absolutely cream crackered.
Anyway I got the drain put in this afternoon by the Dr who did it last time but he was curious about not being contacted the previous day and also them keeping me in unnecessarily. He is such a lovely man.
I'm now back home with two holes, a channel through the skin with a tube through and the rest pushed through the chest wall into the cavity. Its a bit sore to be honest but I feel much better. I just have the weekly drain to deal with now.
As you can imagine I haven't prepared anything for holiday yet and we go on Saturday so me and DH are going to be busy tomorrow.
Right so now I've probably made your stomach churn I'm off. Sweet dreams all.;) X1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Blimey. Glad it seems to have helped a bit.
Try to take it easy.
I take it you have spoken with a Macmillian advisor to check that you are getting everything that you are entitled to?I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I'm just glad the drain is making you feel a bit better. (((hugs)))
Will you be OK to go on holiday, or will you be OK until you get back to have the drain seen to?
Hopefully you'll have a lovely time while your away. XI Believe.....

Glad you were taken seriously at the hospital. I would go to CAB at some point or ring them and investigate benefits some more - they should know. Sometimes you need a specialist charity though - so whether some of the cancer charities could also help I don't know?
You sound like you are pushing yourself hard. I would look into the cleaner idea when you get back from holiday. Hope all goes well with that.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
