Who pays for name change on flight booking?

Im not entirely sure as I havent yet been given a breakdown yet but im calling them (the family) later to find out.

You don't need a breakdown just go punch in date plus 1 small suitcase and see if it comes up less than £115.....if the original flights were booked a while ago they could have been as little as £40-50 return


The problem with booking a group holiday is everyone agrees its a great idea and they will all pay straight away......but there is always one who cancels or cant pay

Its coming up at £40 odd going out, £83 for return flight both of which do not include suitcase. There are seats left only 1 at those prices which are cheapest prices😢
Also Im a bit confused as weve looked again at changing name on flights...in one part it says from £115 per passenger but then further down it says per passenger per flight and Ryanair work off flight out and flight in rather than a return. So if the latter is the correct does that mean its going to cost £230 to change the name ?

It’s been many a year since I’ve had to pay for a name change with Ryan air but at that time it covered both journeys. It would not surprise me though if it was now for both journeys, that needs clarifying ASAP

Morning all.
So weve (myself and the family), come to the agreement that this money for name change is not going to be paid by the original girls family.
They have rang and messaged them several times this week and not heard a thing back. So...we are going to split the cost. Their idea which I have agreed to. We both agree neither of us should have to but we both realise that its the only way this is going to be resolved.
I think its fair to say that they won't be inviting thr original girl to join them on any future trips!

Get it done asap you don't need the new passport number at this moment in time, just for when you need to print the boarding passes off. I thought Ryanair didn't officially do name changes as such, its the price of a new ticket and 2 ways is 2 tickets. I could be mistaken as i don't use Ryanair and i've never had to do it.

A 'minor name error' (I guess Lynne instead of Lynn) can be done free of charge.

I think a small claims court summons for the £115 or the cost of the original flights which ever is lower would be the way to go

As already discussed in posts #6 & #8, the family that purchased the tickets don't have any proof that the family of the girl that the ticket was originally purchased for ever agreed to pay for it.
