Alas, a fool and his money are easily parted. Just look at the report this morning of people who lost £1.5 Million in a crypto currency scam run by GPay Ltd using Martin Lewis as frontman in their advertising. Martin, of course, knew nothing about it, the company was run from Bulgaria by a fraudster but the reviews were no doubt wonderful, that is why people buy into these schemes. Those of us who have been there for a long time can only warn others, if they chose to accept the word of first time reviewers, it is their money to lose.
  • I have just come across this thread, I am very surprised to find so many positive comments on CSG, yet another firm started by ex sales staff. Most of the major timeshare companies will not recognise any exit made by third parties such as these. Always check with your resort first.

Hi reading through these posts, it seems a bit of research after a phone call from Consumer Advice Centre this morning and searching through my paper work, I have been scammed by CSG.  This is the second scam I have been sucked into regarding leaving timeshare - I managed to get my money back from the first one via Section 75.  I checked my timeshare account (online) and it looks like we have been charged monthly interest up to Feb 2020 - why it stopped then, don't know - implying that our time share has not been cancelled.  CSG used Fullbrook Associates as  legal front - they sent a letter in Dec confirming we were no longer members.  I took this as true, as we no longer received correspondence from the timeshare company.
Anyway, any guidance to what I can do would be gratefully received. I don't even feel I can trust the phone call I had today from (supposedly) the CAC.

Fullbrook Associates are a strange kettle of fish. They make no mention that they are registered as solicitors with the Law Society of Scotland, but they are, and you could complain there for a start. Bizarrely all the people mentioned online appear to be child care experts with no timeshare experience at all so I do wonder if all this is being done in their name without their knowledge? If you have been misled by solicitors it is a very serious issue and there can be compensation payable.
The website of the claims management company states it is regulated by the FCA so there is another line of enquiry, neither of these organisations may be able to give instant advice because Scotland has its own lockdown rules at the moment and it may be difficult to get information but if you didn't pay the solicitors but the claims management company this may be the only route ahead.
I assume the phone call today was out of the blue and not a follow up to an enquiry from you? If it was unexpected, then I regret to say it sounds like the start of another fraud so be very, very careful

I got involved with Claims Solution Group back in early 2019 after my case was referred to them by a company in Tenerife. I'd been searching for a way to get out of my timeshare contract and the crippling costs attached for years and I'd already been scammed by two other companies so I was very dubious to say the least, however after reading the contract first and seeing the written guarantees I took the plunge and it was the best decision I ever made. Very professional, great team of people of delivered on all aspects that was promised so I cannot recommend them highly enough. I've felt compelled to write my review as I've recently been made aware of these blogs and the negative comments made but they all seem to be by the same people which leads me to question their motives to be honest. My personal advice to anyone out there trapped in the same situation as I was is to simply listen to what they have to say and make your own mind up!

I have recently had dealings with the Claims Solutions Group. I was referred to them from a cold calling agency called Alastor Advice Services who appear to locate customers for CSG. Anyway, I was assured by a confident "representative" that I had a valid mis- selling claim against a particular timeshare organisation, that they could release me from and win approx £30k compensation claim against the Company. The case would take up to 2 years to resolve, for which their fees would be 25% of the claim value plus an upfront fee of £5k. I advised that I required to think on the matter overnight and arranged a follow up call 24 hrs later. The whole up front thing did not sit right, so I sought legal advice. This I obtained from a specialist firm - accredited to the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) who specialise in challenging timeshare contract agreements. Their advice was that I did not have any chance of such a claim as I had purchased prior to Jan 1999, but they could assist for a fixed legal fee of £1500 (+VAT), payable on completion for contract release. So be warned - do not pay anything upfront for these services (all forums warn against it), and verify what you are being advised by CSG - an non regulated Claims Management Company.
