Thanks, I did the benchmark test, here are the results:
UserBenchmarks: Game 11%, Desk 38%, Work 24%
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T - 41.5%
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4200 - 0.6%
SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB - 66.1%
HDD: Seagate Expansion Desk 4TB - 14.7%
RAM: Hynix HMT325U6BFR8C-H9 4x2GB - 30.5%
MBD: Dell Studio XPS 7100
It demonstrates that there is no problem with the Graphics, nor CPU(though you do appear to have some processes running in the background that may be a problem.
It does indicate that your RAM is not performing at it's best and there appears to be a problem with your external HDD.
Unplug the external drive and run the test again.0 -

Ok thanks, I did it:

RAM: Hynix HMT325U6BFR8C-H9 4x2GB - 31.8%
MBD: Dell Studio XPS 71000 -
This is the error I get for the external drive:0

So only the RAM is under-performing. But that should not make a significant difference in day to day use. How is the performance, now that you have removed the external drive?0 -
You should run Seatools to check the health of your external drive; https://www.seagate.com/gb/en/support/downloads/seatools/0

Here's an example of one that should fit;https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sapphire-Radeon-HD5670-PCI-E-512Mb-GDDR5-graphics-card/192960858905
But...if the problem is with the power supply...
On second thought, it appears that the card that you have disconnected is a Low Profile example. So perhaps better to choose another Low Profile card if you feel that you want to have another GC.
Here's an example; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Core-Radeon-R7-240D-600M-2GB-D3-LP-HDMI-P7Y019785-PC-Graphics-Card-Low-AMD/202752472807
You might want to find a card without a fan, as it will be quieter.0 -

I did a short drive self test:
Not sure why it found the external drive twice, it did not offer a short drive self test for the bottom unknown drive, just a long or short generic test. It has frozen since I selected short generic.0 -

Listing that drive twice is normal. So you can place a tick on both. Skip the SSD and unknown.

Have you ever defragmented the external drive? https://askleo.com/should-i-defrag-my-external-drive-and-if-so-how/0
