Just on the side of caution wondering if anyone else has had an email from Sky requesting they have to reset their password?

Thanks

I had one but havn't done anything with it yet.
I'm going to have a proper look at it this weekend.

Very good point (that I should have spotted).

It has all the right-looking bits (Sky logo, reply-to address, my sky-only email address to send it to me) but it does start "Dear Customer".

Glad I didn't click the link (which I never would anyway).

Well it does look like an official email from sky but it was sent to my Gmail account which they should have no knowledge of that email address
Also I notice it does not have my account no on it.

Strangely enough I am now not able to log into my Sky account......

I had one a week or so ago, just ignored it then found my account was locked and couldn't get in and also, as I get some emails forwarded via the Sky email server I stopped receiving these too. I ended up being forced to change the password in the end.

It is but I suggest not to go via the link in the email, which you should never do as a matter of course, and go to sky.com to change it.

Are you sure you haven't set your gmail account as your alternate contact email address on your Sky account?

See my post above regarding being locked out.
