Sorting the debt and the house.

Wow just reading back my diary. My spelling is awful!!! I have been posting on my phone and not checking it over. I do apologise. I can spell honestly (see if I hadn't of read that back it would have said 'I can smell honestly')
Ok Good Morning lovely diary (Just noticed I have been spelling that wrong also)
Looks nice and sunny out this morning. Plans today are to pop in to town for birthday card and little present for little ones friend as she has been invited to a little birthday tea party tomorrow. Then we MUST go to the library for the reading challenge. Apart from that we will have food at home and probably go out for a nice family walk later on from the house. Little one can take her scooter. We have a lovely country pub here in the village which is just gorgeous and hidden away. We don't go in there to eat or drink as it's really posh and expensive but it is very old and has old toilets outside with flowers growing out of them and a lovely old bench which the owner (very eccentric man) always drys his socks on. Anyway in the old stone wall there's gorgeous flowers growing and he has put some garden ornaments there. One of these ornaments is a little elf about 5cm in height and my little one loves him. Every time we pass this pub on our walks she will move him to a different part of the wall. She has even named him. We then carry on passed the pub to talk to the cows who I'm sure recognise us.
Life is certainly for living and that doesn't mean material things, it means nature, family, being nice and true to yourself.
WE CAN DO THIS GUYS!!

Yo!
Busy couple of days. Lots of family time and a family wedding yesterday which was really nice. Catching up with relatives we haven't seen for many years, most of them have never seen our little one. We spent = £0. All drinks paid for. Didn't even have to buy wedding present as my parents put our names on the card and gift (very generous money gift) and wouldn't take any money from us. Nice to let the hair down and dance.
Have tried to be good the last couple of days. Its SO hard when it's the summer holidays but I think we've done really well and I'm proud of us. My pay day is in 3 days I have £20 in my purse and DH has £30 in his wallet. We can do this.
The main debt is still the same.
Emergency stash = £53
My savings (pocketmoney) = £28
Weather is being funny again. Raining one minute and bright sunshine the next.
I must get fit!! I wore a lovely dress to the wedding yesterday but felt a little wobbly. I have never had a problem with my weight, always been active but I'm at that age where it's starting to pile on a little to quickly and if im not careful may become an issue. I have started to do stomach exercises everyday and I normally achieve 10000 steps but being off work the last 2 weeks I have become lazy. There have been active days where I reach 15000 and days where I'm nowhere near. Also need to eat better. Again I'm fine when I'm working but awful when I'm off work. I'm back to work tomorrow so the effort will start again.
Ok so I plan on -
Tidy the house
Iron clothes for work
Mop the floors
Make food for tomorrow
Make food for dinner
So I would like these crossed off today so If I put my phone down now and get cracking then I will reward myself half an hour to read through someone's diary.
Catch you later alligator.

Hi Diary.
Still doing well. We have both been paid. We have transferred £290 into savings and started back our £50 each picket money which gets transferred I to separate accounts. I now have £88 in mine which I'm saving for tickets to a show which I know is going on sale in November and I want front seats!
Last week of the school holidays and it's been lovely. Need to buy school shoes and trainers today so going to Clarks. My mum has offered to buy the school shoes (she's a good one) I have £15 left from the £100 the in laws gave me for school uniform so I will either put that towards the trainers or a rain coat.
I feel very fortunate lately. I know we have debt but it is manageable and we are able to also live whilst paying it off. We have a lovely family who are very supportive and love their granddaughter so much (only granddaughter in both families and youngest by 10 years also the last grandchild on both sides) they like to spoil her as much as I will let them. We went on a family bike ride yesterday in the local forestry. Proud of the little one who's just turned 7 by the way. She rode 10 miles stopping for a picnic half way. We only spent money for 2x tea and 1x cake at the end. Weather was perfect as was the day.
So it's bank holiday weekend. Plan on getting the swimming pool out and after shoe shopping having the afternoon in the garden.
Will update debt progression next week when bills go out.
Take care

Ok so I'm still here. Still skimping and saving and trying to get out of this overdraft. The house falling through and estate agent/solicitor bills floored us and we are just about pulling through that little hurdle.
Debt is as follows:
£4528. Loan
£800 family
£1800 overdraft
Total = £6328
We have built up £700 in savings. Next payday we will put £500 of that on to the overdraft to bring it down.
Not going to go overboard this Xmas. I've sorted the panto/Santa visit already.
Will catch up later

Hi Diary.
It been a while.
Still digging in and carrying on.
Debt is now :-
£4261. Loan
£600 Family
£1800. Overdraft
£6661 Total
Just looked at the total in September and I calculated it wrong it was £7128.
So we are slowly getting there. We have £750 back in our savings. £400 is needed for my car insurance and tax first week of January. The rest will be put towards Xmas. Xmas is going to be more traditional and basic this year and do you know what. . . . I'm looking forward to it!!!
We still need to sort out this overdraft. We need Xmas out of the way and then in Feb the family loan will be finished so that's an extra £200.
I booked a few Xmas things to do a few months ago and they were paid for back then. Also myself and husband have a cinema trip on Monday (Live screening of Les Mis from London) which I'm really looking forward to. I'm a huge musical theatre fan and my favourite boy is performing. Also booked the Les Mis tour end of December. So that's my Xmas sorted. We just need to sort the little lady out.
Oh well better sort food out.
Chat later

Yoooo Hooooo!!!!
IT'S CHRISTMAS!
Husbands car had a leak which cost £200 and with Xmas it means our savings are now £0. We have my car tax and insurance due Jan 1st so husband did some overtime that will pay for some of that. The next few months will be hard but come March when the parents loan will have to usher we will have an extra £200 to play with. We all need clothes we are going around in rags as we haven't bought any for a long while. So we will pick up some essentials in Feb/March as we have 2 month's with no council tax and our council tax is high £214 a month!! So even though we are struggling we know that there is light at the end of this tunnel and it looks very bright. We are happy though. We enjoy the free things in life. We did buy little one walking boots, walking trousers and waterproof coat 2 weeks ago mind but we love walking in the woods and she gets a lot out of it.
Keep safe

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas.
Ours was lovely and quiet. Didn't go over board and still have lots of food in the fridge and freezer. Little one had lots of lovely presents and is busy trying everything out.
Debt is down to £5,929. Which is amazing really. We have 2 payments of £200 to parents then that loan is finished. Hopefully the overdraft will start to come down. We are getting there and in a good place really. We still waste a lot of food and I will try to be better this coming year.
Lots of new goals in my head for this year. I will try to write these down soon.
Need to sort the house out as there is Xmas stuff still everywhere.
Better move. Speak soon.0
