Parkingeye minimum spend

I've had a fine from ParkingEye after stopping at an ALDI, stating I didn't enter my car details in the store. The car was new at the time so it's likely i put the wrong details in. I've requested CCTV footage from the store (under GDPR) to prove I was in there. In the meantime I've provided proof that I was a customer in the store via my receipt. I've had a reply from ParkingEye stating my spend didn't meet the discretionary criteria set by the landowner. I've taken photos of all the ParkingEye signage at that store and there is nothing to state a minimum purchase is required. I've spoken to the manager of the store and they've said they can't insist on a minimum spend - on the day i went in the item i was intending to purchase was out of stock anyway. I can't find anything about a minimum spend in ParkingEye's terms and conditions either. Should I appeal to POPLA or pay the fine - i was only there 26 mins

Have you taken this up with Aldi?
If not, then do so.0 -
There is no "fine", just an invoice
You won't get any CCTV footage
GDPR allows you to issue a SAR for all Doc's , pictures and data relating to you and your vehicle, nothing else
The pictures will be by using Anpr cameras0 -
I've had a fine from ParkingEye after stopping at an ALDI,
No you have not, you have had an invoice from them for the damage they suffered when you allegedly breached an alledged contract. However, due to their appalling signage, I doubt that a judge would consider that a contract existed, read this

Pay them not a penny unless a judge orders you to as nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain also to your MP.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
If I speak to ALDI and they say they can't do anything, what should I do then?0

Appeal as usual. This will be an easy win.0

Speak to aldi head office. Easy job0

Speak to the store MANAGER he should have a PE user manual where he can get this cancelled.
Take along any receipts, card statements etc. showing you are a regular customer.
If he is unhelpful tell him you will be sending a polite but firm complaint to Giles Hurley the CEO letting him know how disappointed you are that If shopping at ALDI comes with a £100 surcharge you do not feel able to return.

Interesting isn't it how scamming parking companies use "the terms and conditions of parking are clearly displayed on signage in the car park" as evidence to POPLA or the courts and then include statements about "discretionary criteria set by the landlord" which is never displayed anywhere, scamming Muppets.0

Do not speak to them, write to them. Also complain to your MP as nine times out of ten these tickets are scams.

Spoke to ALDI, managers, they've abdicated all responsibility as they don't set the minimum purchase amount. Emailed CEO but not hopeful I'll get a reply in the 14 days until it goes up to £70 - help please, I work in a sector that can't have a ccj attached0
