Hi guys.
I have an advocate who looks after my bills so hence my question

Thanks

It depends what your tenancy agreement says.

Most bills are covered separately by the tenant but occasionally water is included.

I am a LL and own a property where water is included in my management charge with the complex so the bill is not passed directly to my tenant in the same way as other utilities

The only way to know is to read the tenancy agreement.

    Ok I contacted my advocate.
The bill looks like it's done every 6 months by severn trent,

Bill was for £91 for 6 months, which works out at £15 per month about.

    Does that sound right ?

What type of property do you live in...?

Water on a meter would be about that for maybe a small flat and 1 person living there who isn't excessive with their usage...but its hard to give n estimation when we cant see how much water you've been billed for just sparse information.

It sounds incredibly cheap to me, venomx, but ST are very cheap. Pity we southerners can't drink their water without filtering it first. :(

Your bill is about two thirds of ours so it could be correct. I have found ST's customer service to be very good, by and large. Way better than Anglian Water's.

Just checked and the online chat team are available until 8.50 p.m. and the phone line is open until 9 p.m. Hope this helps.

I'm a solo male in a 3 bed house, paying ~£75 per 6 months for water (dishwasher once/twice a week, washing machine 3 times a fortnight, quick showers and few baths.)
    I'm on a water meter.
Using about 32m3 of water per year at the moment.

Your bill sounds about right to me.

Over half of it is the standing charges, which continue to rise each year...
I started out with nothing and I still got most of it left. Tom Waits

I'm not sure whether you're asking a question, or are just venting, but in either case it would be better if you started a new thread rather than resurrect somebody else's different query.

Probably best to ask in the Water Bills section of the forum. This section is all about buying and selling property.
