Blue Passport

A Croatian passport. Dark blue. Still an EU member. Still a dark blue passport. Because Croatia chose not to adopt the EU Standard burgundy.
Just like the UK could have chosen not to adopt the EU burgundy. But the UK chose to go Burgundy.

I think it used to be up to 9 months.Only problem with renewing early the passport office no longer carry over any unused time on your old passport or if they do it’s not the 6 months they use too
But, yes you're right, unless you really need to renew your passport early - e.g. entry requirements of a country you're visiting or no pages left for visa - you might as well do it close to the expiry date. Taking into account busy periods of course.0 -
In the 1949 film Passport to Pimlico, that district of London became part of the House of Burgundy. Just a thought.0

Embassies no longer issue passports. Only yellow one page passports that are issued if you lose your passport0 -
I’ve travelled a fair amount and never given any thought to the colour of my passport but if symbolism is important to you you can always renew prior to your holiday and hope that it’s the colour of your choice or wait.
If you do renew early and it’s burgundy then you’d have the option to renew a few months later when it’ll almost certainly be blue. When you boil it down it largely depends how much cash you’re happy spending to get a symbol of what I imagine you feel to be freedom.0 -
Britain will be a prosperous world leader again when we have blue passports and escaped those garlic-eating foreigners, I believe.
