Just googled it , should have thought of it before I posted sorry ....lol
If you renew your passport between late 2019 and early 2020, you'll be issued with either a blue or a burgundy British passport. You will not be able to choose whether you get a burgundy or a blue passport during this time. All British passports issued from early 2020 will be blue.29 Mar 2019
Might wait till January......0 -

Blue passports will begin to be issued from October 2019, but there will be a period when blue & burgundy are being issued at the same time, while stocks are used up.

Why does it matter?0

It doesn't...? If someone isn't in a rush to get one then there's no harm in waiting until the blue ones are issued, if they so wish. What does it matter to you what a person's preference is? :think:Why does it matter?Mortgage started 2015: £150,000 2016: £130,000 2017: £116,000 2018: £105,000 2019: £88,000 2020: £69,000 2021: £51,195 2023: MORTGAGE FREE!0 -

If it runs out in June, why not renew it after the trip in February?Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

I wouldn’t worry right now personally. Wait until 1 Nov. And see how the land lies then.0
