I’ve been chasing L&Q to release the cladding report since November. They have been very unhelpful.
Currently I have applied for a mortgage with Santander. Anyone knows of any lender that is more flexible? I really want to get the flat I’m buying!0 -
last monday got a message from estate agent that platinum riverside and bellway would be updating before the weekend with some contigency announcement
but on monday sent an email saying wait till fire testing report is available mind u testing happened in sep
dont know what to do0 -
just had message from our solicitor
she mentions that in leeds city centre there are probably 2300 flats stuck
worryingly she mentioned that ACM guideline is now being extended to all buildings with cladding regardless of height
has anyone heard same?0 -
Just seen this article from The Guardian on 28th December which must have passed me by in the Christmas busy-ness.
https://www.theguardian.com/money/2019/dec/28/mortgage-prisoner-ive-been-told-i-cant-sell-for-years
Just thinking if it is worth starting that petition up again to parliament to get them to raise it, if we can get the right number of signatures. What do you think?
If all flats need to be done this will take years.0 -

Has anyone had any luck getting their freeholder/managing agent to commence testing to obtain the EWS1 certificate? Our building is 99% brick but because of the tiny amount of cladding, banks are insisting on the EWS1, which seems to be painfully slow in obtaining.0

Sounds like you live in my building...
If I haven't heard back from my management company this week then I'm going to start investigating whether its feasible getting one done by paying myself.0 -
Hi, has anyone had any experience of banks accepting the completed EWS1 form in terms of approving mortgages etc..?0
