Hi all, another thread regarding BW Legal & UK Parking Patrol Office LTD ANPR.

I've ignored all letters up until now, I've received a letter of claim from BW Legal. I've read the newbies thread and will reply asking for SAR etc but don't think theres any hope in this claim or if theres any point in fighting as the maximum stay period was exceeded by a very long time.. I believe around 8 hours. This was April 2018.

What do you think? Any advice? Shall I still email and fight or just pay up. Estimated total is around £245 after Legal fees but balance is only £160 if I pay today. It says payment is required by the 4th August 2019 so any replies would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The estimated total is a joke!

Should you lose around £175 is likely

No-one here will advise you to pay!

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your post to remove details of who was driving

The PPCS monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you in court

The one thing you DO NOT do is pay these money scammers

£245 is abuse of process and so is £160 when the parking ticket was £100

You see, BWLegal think you are a mug, infact they think judges in courts are mugs because they have already been told by judges that what they are doing is ABUSE OF PROCESS

That isn't happening, only a mug would pay £160 to avoid paying nothing in court. And the balance is not £160, they lied. The £60 is made up.

I agree with all comments I don’t want to pay but I can’t keep ignoring now. Will contact the land owner and try to get them to cancel the charge if possible. What do you suggest?

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Yes Coupon, similar to that. I've emailed the SAR and BW but no response as of yet. Will follow up. Does anyone know the current land owner of the Lidl car park? Although it seems they aren't interested in helping.

Any more recommendations? Will contact my MP & the landowner. If it does go to Court what exactly do I need to do? It's all going over my head.
