Problems with a car

No worries everyone, I get the message, it’s all her fault, regardless of the dealers fault in the beginning, staying in the paperwork that no locking wheel nut was needed to find it did. She has a lot to learn and she will do it with or without us. She lives over an hour away from home and I was glad she asked for help rather than travelling to Manchester. She’s young and inexperienced but hopefully this has taught her something else. I just think it’s something someone with inexperience could be caught out on, which she was to an extent. However now she will know to push for the locking nut off the dealer and not accept a car if they say it doesn’t need it, or get a second opinion. However if she’s anything like me, it’ll happen again!0

If it's never had a KEY, not nut, why didn't Ex's dad question it?0

No harm in asking for help but you’re still running around for her after the problem was identified. She’s got the information she needs to sort it herself now.0

Key? Even mine looks like a nut. I’d question the ex’s family anyway and if he was even helping her with her car. Just wished she’d ask us more. It’s an hour to hers and back and it’s pretty full on at home for us. And she’s a workaholic. So not much time but no excuse.0 -

I agree, but she needs a key not as her dad would tell her "A nut."0 -

I still can't believe the AA attended for a puncture, and didn't even ask about where the key was before just using the removers on the locking bolt, and replacing it with a straight one. And didn't mention all that even in passing...
No, Occam's Razor says that conversation definitely happened, but she completely forgot to do anything about it...0 -

Partly as I have her car. It needs sorted so she can take it back.0 -

Yes, a key, it'll be a hex. on the outside, but pins or something that locate on the locking nut.0 -
