Send the template from the Newbies thread unaltered. Do not embellish it at all. It's designed so you don't inadvertently name the driver. Altering it risks you making that error.

    This earlier post answers that.

Ok, I am sending off the online blue template from the newbies forum and stating my name as the registered keeper, my address, vehicle reg and their pcn number. I only want to know if I should add to the letter that I was unable to appeal online because their given pcn ref no wasn't recognised on their online appeal. So should I include and inform them of this info, or leave it out altogether ?

You have been given advice on what to do.
You have not been advised to do anything else.

    Don't rush this!

Read and understand what you have been told. Reread the advice given both here and the NEWBIES. You have 28 days from the date of the NTK.

Your first action should be to complain to the BPA.

You still haven't told us what the correct date the NTK was received. It cannot have been received on the 7th unless you get a Sunday postal delivery where you live.

  • it was probably received on the 6th july - going along the fact that their letter was typed out on the 4th july (Date of Notice) - so the 6th seems fair, if not then the 8th as that would make it Monday..... Like I said, I work shifts and sometimes forget what day it is ((

The 6th would be within PoFA limits, the 8th would be outside, but actually the Interpretation Act would assume a letter posted on the 4th would arrive on the 8th.
It doesn't matter, Highview normally cave in when they see the forum appeal template.
