Hi looking for advice pls.
Got a parking ticket last year via camera no windscreen ticket but hadn’t notified delay of change of address so was a while before I had any notion of this and there was loads of letter sent to previous address from debt collector. Notified parking company and dvla and they acknowledged it. Received on 6th July this year now afte all this time a letter from a new debt collector to my new address with copies they had been sending to my old address saying I need to take action now and say whether I had valid reason for not paying etc by requesting a reply form or pay
Not quite sure what to do next..
Many thanks in advance
:)

now afte all this time a letter from a new debt collector
Zenith after being previously pursued by Debt Recovery Plus? Check the tiny, light grey print at the bottom of the Zenith letter and all will be revealed. Ignore debt beggars - read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 to know how to deal with them.

More importantly, which parking company is involved?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You can edit posts with one click - as long as you are not on a phone.

DO NOT use a phone on this forum, at all. Switch to a laptop if you were.
I’m happy to pay original fine as it was my mistake
It's not a fine and no you are not going to pay!

    Which PPC?

You will need to email their Data Protection bod (see their privacy page) to confirm your current address for service, and tell them to erase the old address.

As for the debt letters, you'll know from the NEWBIES thread post #4 to ignore them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

See post #4 in the newbies FAQ thread

That covers the debt collection stage you are now in

You can safely ignore everything except a lbcca or court correspondence

If it comes to that then come back to the FAQ for advice on how to deal with a Court claim

Throughout here you are advised never to reveal who was driving

You need to edit your posts to remove details of who was driving

The ppcs monitor this forum and can use posts in your thread against you

This is not a fine. It is an invoice from a disreputable company for the damage they allege you caused them when you did whatever dastardly deed you did.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

You say Gladstones - does it say to Pay DRP?
If it does, it isnt from Galdstones. Youre being lied to. Its really from DRP.

    Hi all,
Had claim letter form Northampton county court today. Will send off anclowledgemnt so have 28days to rite defence but problem is I don’t have one. Read lots of threads but I’m struggling - super dyslexic.

They sent it to my old address, I was in contact with them to say this may happen as they keep reverting back there.

I have no idea how anyone can have read threads on this forum and have no idea how to compose a defence.
It is actually done with one search, in minutes, plus reading the NEWBIES thread post #2.

Search the forum for UKCPM defence true and copy a recent one, adding your facts. Defences are generally that simple!

What's the issue date of the N1 claim, and what do the Particulars on the left say?
