  • Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you all had a lovely day .

Wasn't a NSD in the end.
Had to get some over the counter medication and some milk and yogurt from Tesco

    £9.50 spent.

    £5 medication
    £1.50 milk
£3 on dairy free yogurt (for breakfast to go with granola)

    Positive sides of today.
I've used our savings £4500 to clear our catalogue for the cooker and sofas we ordered (no interest) and it was cheaper than other stores as they were both in sale .

We ordered a cooker from somewhere else but there was a glitch in the site and they didn't have any and would be a 6-8 week wait. And we have already been without a cooker for abit. It wasn't any more expensive but seems a better one :o

    So savings is currently £2200

Also I've requested mortgage payments of over £500 come off our term instead of lowering our monthly amount. (our mortgage provider sets the minimum of £500)
We are going to keep our £33 regular overpayment going. And any other money in an account and make a payment when we have the £500.

Reviewed the budget and I'm sure we can shave off £200 a month . Will keep an eye on our spending and outgoings and see if it's possible

Also council tax direct debit has been confirmed. It will go out the same day as the mortgage

  • Hello my beautiful diary friends,
I hope you are all well.

Savingholmes, debtfreeoneday & dawnybabes. Thank you for the encouragement. As it gets closer to the end of the month it's. Definitely needed .

Early shift yesterday and today. Both times on the way to work had a phone call with my dad which was nice.

Two days off after today. Beech Tomorrow if it's dry (will take food and drinks with us)
Thursday we are going back to our home city to see family :)

I've been using my vape more and more. I think I'm going to try and be smoke free and vaping only by the end of the month (hopefully sooner) I've done it before so I know I can do it again. It's just wasted money at the end of the day.

Brought a present for a family member yesterday so wasn't a NSD £15 spent.

Saw a backpack I really wanted. But resisted buying it for a few months now :)

Need to keep a close eye on spends so we don't end up in the overdraft before the 1st (money shuffle day)

Our cooker will hopefully be here soon which will help as we have food in the freezer that we can't currently cook. But we have been using things up out the fridge and cupboards.

Hoping for a nice calm day at work.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

  • Hello my beautiful diary friends ,

Lovely dry day we are meeting family and friends at the park for abit instead of the beach. (will go to the beach in August)

    Quick question

What would be a good savings target ?
I was aiming for 10k (about 5-6 months outgoings) and then smashing the Mortgage down but would like to start making a dent to the mortgage . Any help would be appreciated

    Have a great day everyone
