Sorry I haven't updated for a while.
Appeal submitted ✔
not heard back from PPC yet
Phone call to "restaurant" ✔
Still no success and referred to PPC
Email sent to MP ✔
Secretary requested some documents/proof and I am waiting to hear back from them
To do list: send McDs CEO an email (thanks for the email address @Egbert Nobacon)0 -
Repeat the details in your original post to the CEO and mention how disappointed you are that as a genuine regular customer your meals have attracted a £100 surcharge.0

A few weeks ago my MP said he contacted UKPC and as soon as he hears from them, he will be in touch with me. However, I personally haven't heard from the PPC either after my appeal.
How long has the PPC got to get back to me with the appeal decision?0 -
Did you contact Paul Pomroy ?
The NEWBIES tells you that a landowner/retailer cancellation should always be your first port of call.0 -

I have re-sent my email to Mr Pomroy. However, whilst waiting for an email reply, I better prepare my POPLA appeal as I received the appeal rejection from the PPC.
Any help on this will be appreciated. Thank you!0 -
After re-sending my email to the CEO and my email being passed around various people (as CEO is on holiday at the moment), I have received an email from the restaurant manager who informed me that my parking charge will be revoked. Yippee!!!!
Thank you for providing me with the email address of the CEO @EgbertNobacon . Customer services were useless as only replied with a standard email when I emailed in the past.
At least I can enjoy the lovely weather we currently have- rather than sitting down and writing my POPLA appeal.
Thanks to everyone for your help and input!!!!0 -
Great News !!
Check the UKPC website it should show as cancelled or a zero balance, take a screenshot.
This is a free life lesson to always check the signs carefully as with all scammers you are swimming with sharks.0 -
Hello Tangerine,
I'm in the exact same case as you, except my email to Paul was declined. Generally, what sort of content did you put into yours?
Thanks0 -
Hello,
I put the circumstances of our visit as described in my initial post... and as suggested my outrage that we get charge £100 for visiting and we will not visit again.
I had proof (although it was in form of pictures) we were there. If i had seen the signs, I would have been silly sitting there for ages and not making myself known to anyone and waiting patiently for my parking charge to come through the post.
Coming from a hospitality background and having read and dealt with a good amount of complaints in my life, I would like to suggest, you keep it firm, polite, ensure you emphasise your disapppintment with the restaurant- but please do not cross the line of coming across rude/aggressive. (Sorry for being patronising)
I always think the tone of a complaint is key for the desired outcome.0
