Parking fine - help!

It was indeed McDs.
No other shops or restaurant around - but offices. The restrictions are in place that office workers don't use the spaces which I understand. However, they have been genuine customers.
Thanks for the link to other UKPC/mcD cases. This has helped me to get an idea how I will start my POPLA appeal.
We will re-visit to take pictures of the signage. As mentioned, the signage was wasn't prominent enough as neither the driver nor the passengers noticed them.
Have to read up on the minimum requirements for the signage.
Also my local MP is Sir Greg Knight. :rotfl:0 -
Good to be thinking ahead (and quite an achievement with a young baby!). But remember it is one step at a time ....
First off concentrate on complaining like hell ... how you word complaints is important. You need indignation, clarity, mitigation, definite firm request for cancellation and, of course, not to identify the driver. It's easy to slip up on that last thing, for example your post above should read 'we were genuine customers'. Editing needed.
Then get that first appeal in, from the keeper - ensure 'Keeper' is selected from any drop down box - and in time.
With luck there won't be a need for POPLA.0 -
Realistically, McDonald's likely isn't the landowner, therefore complaining to McDonald's will likely not too masses in the grand scheme of things.
At least the advice has essentially boiled down to complain, even though you parked incorrectly.0 -
Retailers can cancel fake PCNs in most cases.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I like your use of fake PCNs, what exactly is a 'real' PCN then?0

A Council one is a real one. Both can be appealed and won with different tactics.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

PPC's use the term Parking Charge Notice
Councils use the term Penalty Charge Notice
Both use almost identical yellow and black plastic envelopes and the same terminals to print their "tickets".
Note the similarities note that the COP's for PPC's state against misrepresentation of authority but they blatantly get away with copying real PCN's, and millions fall for it.0 -
But you are spreading discourse by purposefully claiming these are "fake PCNs".
You use the word fake, whereas in no way are these fake, is it in fact you that is intentionally attempting to hoodwink consumers?0 -

Spreading what???
As with your comment that 'complaining to McDonald's will likely not too masses', I can't possibly disagree with you as I haven't got a clue what you mean.
Who do you work for? Anyone here who needs help with a PCN, please ignore this individual.0 -
Discourse, people are constantly spreading disinformation on here and I'm hoping to provide a little bit more clarity than the big boys on here stomping around.
My apologies, that must have been a mistype, what I intended to say was 'complaining to McDonald's will likely not do masses'.
I work for myself and the drivers who are getting these, they are consistently being fed incorrect and bordering on intentionally negligent information.0
