Parking fine - help!

Sorry but that's just not true. I fought the only PCN I've ever received successfully with help from the regulars here. Then I helped someone whose case was quite different to fight & win too, again following the advice here.
And I follow a lot of cases all the way through, chipping in when I can, and again and again there's success at one stage or another. I'm sceptical and cautious, I read between the lines, if I thought anyone was being hoodwinked I'd say as much.0 -
I'm sceptical and cautious
Definitely the best thing to do on here.
Keep your wits about you.0 -
Your posts appear inflammatory, Truth Bandit, and you only started posting today.
What's your beef with this forum? You say you work for yourself, so what is your issue with us and how we help people?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

When did I say I worked for my self, I work for the people.
Like I have now said multiple times, I am just trying to encourage truth and clarity in regards to all of this.
There is so much disinformation, someone ought to step in and clear things up.0 -

You said it here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=76043692&postcount=21TruthBandit wrote: »Discourse, people are constantly spreading disinformation on here and I'm hoping to provide a little bit more clarity than the big boys on here stomping around.
My apologies, that must have been a mistype, what I intended to say was 'complaining to McDonald's will likely not do masses'.
I work for myself and the drivers who are getting these, they are consistently being fed incorrect and bordering on intentionally negligent information.0 -
If you get no joy with landowner try McDonald’s UK CEO with polite request to help a genuine customer.

Unsurprisingly, you had difficulty with my phrase, I clearly meant I worked for the consumers, people using this forum for good, for clarity and help.0

Time to end the frisson of excitement here:
1. Irrespective of skills, experience, identity or username, we come back to a fundamental: This is an information exchange not a repository of formal legal advice, everyone must decide upon their course of action "eyes open" that it is their call alone, having reflected on whatever reading they do. I may disagree with some views, but I generally hold back on criticism as this forum works off collective views.
2. Above all TAILOR YOUR ARGUMENTS to your case.
3. As a defendant to a claim, everyone is entitled to mount a defence or to take advice (formal legal advice or otherwise) - however "thin" their case may be. That is a fundamental principle of justice. PPCs may not like that (or this forum) but it has a place.
4. Litigation is inherently unpredictable. Some good cases will lose and some bad ones will win - with everything in between.
5. Whilst views may be expressed here, only a judge is permitted to make findings of fact - e.g. like who the driver in fact was (assuming that is not admitted). Naturally facts are determined on a balance of probability point and you may want to consider your arguments vs the PPC to assess your risks of loss.
6. Since we are concerned with law of contract, parking like a plonker doesn't necessarily mean a case is indefensible or shouldn't be defended (although it may do) and apparent unfairness of strictly enforced terms doesn't mean a judge won't find against you.0
